Privacy policy
How Bridges & Barriers Advisory Service, Inc. handles personal information across the MyCandidate.ai website and platform.
Who we are
MyCandidate.ai is a recruitment platform operated by Bridges & Barriers Advisory Service, Inc. (“we”, “us”), based in California, USA. This policy covers the MyCandidate.ai marketing website at mycandidate.ai and the MyCandidate.ai application at app.mycandidate.ai.
How this policy applies
MyCandidate.ai is a tool for recruitment firms, so we handle two kinds of personal information differently.
For account and website data — information about the recruiters who use MyCandidate.ai and people who visit our website — we decide how and why it is processed, and this policy governs it.
For candidate data — resumes, profiles, interview recordings and transcripts, and notes that a recruitment firm puts into the platform — the firm decides how that data is used. We process it on the firm’s behalf and under its instructions, as set out in our service agreement with that firm. If you are a candidate, contact the firm that is recruiting you to exercise your rights.
Information we collect
Candidate data we process for firms
When a recruitment firm uses MyCandidate.ai, it uploads or connects candidate information so the platform can evaluate candidates and prepare documents. This can include resumes, candidate profiles, interview recordings and transcripts, screening notes, and role briefs.
We process this data only to provide the service to the firm, on the firm’s instructions. We do not use candidate data to advertise to candidates, and we do not sell it. The firm is responsible for having a lawful basis to share this data with us.
How we use information
AI and automated processing
MyCandidate.ai uses artificial intelligence to score candidates against a role and to draft documents such as submittals, write-ups, and reformatted resumes. To do this, candidate and role data is processed by trusted third-party AI providers under contractual confidentiality and data-protection terms.
AI output is a draft. A recruiter reviews it, and hiring decisions remain with the firm and its people — not the software.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Necessary cookies keep the site working; analytics and marketing cookies are optional and load only with your consent.
We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how the website is used. You can set your preferences through the cookie banner or your browser, and change them at any time.
Service providers we work with
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run MyCandidate.ai. They process data only to provide their service to us, under contract. They include, for example:
How we share information
Data security
Data retention
We keep account and website data for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet legal and accounting obligations. Candidate data is retained for as long as the firm’s service agreement provides, and is deleted or returned at the firm’s request.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA — including the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to certain processing.
To exercise these rights over account or website data, contact us at john@mycandidate.ai. If your request concerns candidate data held in the platform, we will refer it to the recruitment firm that controls that data.
International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our providers may process data there and in other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product and our practices change. We will post the updated version here with a new date, and significant changes will be highlighted.
